We normally spend our time exploring the world. We decided to spend the last few weeks exploring our own environment. We found some really great things in South Florida.
We went fishing on the Marathon Lady in Marathon Key. Fabulous!!!!!
We went for an airboat ride in the everglades. We live on the edge of the everglades and never realized how much fun it could be.
We went to the Miami Zoo. Now, we've been to a lot of zoo's around the world, but I have to tell you that this is one of the best we have ever been to.
We send lot's of people all over the world and travel the world ourselves, but we seem to have lost interest in our own surroundings.
The last week in our so called "staycation" has renewed our enthusiasm for our home town South Florida and all she has to offer. Want to know more aobut South Florida and waht you can do here, e-mail us at info@cruisepeople.com.

Norwegian Sky
Our get away weekend group with Karen & Marty sails on the Norwegian Sky this afternoon for 3 nights of relaxing FreeStyle cruising to Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay (NCL's private island). We'll be having lunch tomorrow of cracked conch and conch fritters at Twin Brothers in the Fish Fry area outside of downtown Nassau. Maybe a little shopping at the Straw Market.

Malta Adventures
We recently sailed into Malta on the fabulous Costa Concordia. What a beautiful ship! Great balcony staterooms and the public rooms are incredible!
Sailing into Malta in the early morning is quite an experience. You think you have gone back to the middle ages. What a scene to behold!
This truly is a great island nation to explore. the official language besides Maltese is English. So no matter where you go there are no language barriers for Americans.
The architecture is incredible, a lot of which dates back centuries and the people are so warm and welcoming.
We took the tourist bus around the island. It's the real bargain here.
If you just want to explore Malta and not go to any neighboring islands, then that's the way to do it. Don't bother with any tours from the ship.
We rode all around the island and then had lunch in a little seaside town and back on the bus to return to Valetta. We saw all there was to see for a fraction of the cost of ship tours.
Don't forget to try the local beer.
